Some of the Coromandel's most famous attractions are also within easy reach. Hot Water Beach and Cathedral Cove are around 30 minutes away, while Whangamata, Whitianga and Thames are approximately 40 minutes' drive. Coromandel Town is about 75 minutes away, making Harbourview Tairua an excellent base for day trips in every direction.
